The International Passport of Ukraine is the official document that allows to
identify a person when he or she leaves Ukraine and stays in a foreign country,
or when Ukrainian citizen returns to Ukraine from another country. Ukrainian
citizen can legally hold 2 valid international passports at the same time.
Passport for children is issued for 4 years, the rest of Ukrainian citizens get
international passport from the age of 16 valid for 10 years. The
passport is issued by State Migration Service of Ukraine, see latest updates at their

dmsu.gov.ua.
People can also use services of State Company "Document" that works with
Migration Office. Offices of Migration Service and "Document" Company are
located in all cities around Ukraine. The passport can be ready in 7 days, in
this case the cost of the service is about 45 USD. For 35 USD the passport will

Ukrainian people are allowed to get passport with a chip that will have
biometric data and without a chip.
It is important to mention that no travel agencies or any other type of agencies
can assist in obtaining passport. Ukrainian citizen must pertsonally go to any Immigration Office as
they take biometric data like fingerprint and photo there.

The list of documents required to apply for the International Passport of
Ukraine.
- Passport of Ukrainian citizen;
- Personal tax number. Tax payers identification code. Only original document
issued by tax office;
- Application form;
- Written statement that says that the applicant refuses to put his biometric
information into the chip (in case a person wants to get international passport
without a chip.
- If a person applies to get 2nd international passport he/she must come 1st
international passport (it can be valid, invalid, issued at another name).
Second International Passport (two valid passports at the same time).
If a person needs to get two international passports or second international
passport if he has 1st one, he/she must fill application form and explain why
he/she needs to travel out of Ukraine often. This can be related to passengers
or cargo transportation business, tourism business, media activity, sport events
and so on.
